I think Sri is the most versatile actress of all. I think only Rekha can match up to Sri's talent. Her rival Madhuri can do only certain type of roles. Madhuri had never experimented with her roles except of course in Devdas and that too at the fag end of her career. That's why Anil kapoor had said that Sri is always a better actress than Madhuri.

Insiders from the industry say that Madhuri was pissed off big time with that remark and had actually stopped talking to Anil and she had made it a point to mention in all her interviews indirectly by the host that Madhuri was the best dancer ever. The outburst of saroj Khan on her show 'nach le with Saroj Khan' was Madhuri's game plan to get even with Anil Kapoor and Sri. If you remember even Karan Johar had spitted fire on Sri in one of those interviews between Madhuri and Rajiv Masand on CNN IBN. KJ said that no actress....absolutely no actress can match her dancing abilities. Rajiv Masand had said that any actress who hasn't done mujra is not an actress at all for which Madhuri responded with a sarcastic laugh. U can check those videos on You Tube.

Now, Sri hasn't done mujra because she never got a challenging one like Umrao Jaan. Now, if by that standard Sri is not an actress then Madhuri is not even the letter 'A' of the word actress. Madhuri may have string of hits to her credit but she owes it totally to her songs and dances and not her acting. Sri is different in this aspect. Sri is Sri because of her acting and not because of some choreographer or music director. period.
