actually Sridevi was offered Darr and Aamir Khan was promised that she will be in the film. It was Sridevi who told Yash that it doesnt suit her. She even mentioned in the press "I would have done Darr only I f I was oferred Shah Rukh Khan role" when sri was out aamir khan lost interest in the project too and he had the script narration problem with the Chopras
what abt other films,she was suppose to do,could not do and were offered to others,but finally went to sridevi she was offered ajooba with amitabh,but later dimple was signed
Didn't Rajkumar Santoshi want Sridevi in Lajja? I thought he wanted Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri and Aishwariya. Aishwariya and Sridevi said no, so Santoshi moved Madhuri up to the role written for Sri and he had to settle for Manisha to replace Madhuri and Mahima to replace Aish.
I wish Sri had said yes, it's one of the few films where I really liked Madhuri. It was a great role and Sridevi would have done an even better job. And if Sri and Mads were dancing on Badi Mushkil, the film probably would have been a big hit!
Ofcourse LAJJA would have been a very big hit if Sri and Madz were in the movie.. And I would believe too that the roles seemed to have been written with Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri and Aishwarya..they suit them very well. R Santoshi definitely loves Sri and he would have planned for Lajja while directing Pukar for Boney.
One other movie Sri rejected (yet again for Yash Chopra) was VEER ZAARA..and the role was of Hemaji. This news is all over the net.
is there any truth that she was also offered jurrassic park ,i think she was also offered padmalya's paitaal bhairvi..in fact meenakshi was also offered same film...
